Peter Martin has over 20 years experience delivering recruitment solutions for clients spanning the mining, agriculture industrial and engineering sectors of regional Australia. He previously led OBI Recruitment with business partner Jenny Martin for 8 years, as well as Global Staff Solutions for over 7 years. His unique mix of qualifications provides a comprehensive knowledge of requirements for operating and managing a niche recruitment agency. Peter’s vision is based on his belief that his own lifelong experience in farming with a family beef cattle production, coupled with recruitment and migration experience, has equipped him to read his market, and keep pace with change. He understands that recruitment is all about networking and building relationships and understands agribusiness recruiters need to operate differently to other industry suppliers. He believes if you don’t understand the industry and are not from the industry, it can be difficult to gain traction. Peter sees great opportunities ahead as the food industry continues to globalize, and Australian agriculture becomes a key supplier of food and fiber to a rapidly increasing international market.
